Asian Internship Day1

Hi! This is Takuma Kobayashi (from Japan) writing!
Our first day of the internship was full of blessings and fun!! I can't wait to see what God will do through us in this special month.

These are what had happened in our first day.

☆Woke Up with Noises
Everyone woke up very early in the morning. I woke up around 3 a.m. because of Muslim prayer (Azan). Yes, it's the world biggest Muslim country. Yet, God's grace is huge in this country too!!

☆Langdon was Locked
At the breakfast table, we did not see someone very important. Yes, our EE International staff, Langdon. First we thought he was still sleeping, but after a while we found out that he was locked in the bathroom. The one who saved him was Ohi, our food coordinator. She kicked the door down and saved him!!

☆Getting Know Each Other
We started from introducing ourselves. To break the awkwardness between us, we must know each other. We shared where we are from, why and how we decided to come here for the internship, what is our expectation, and so on... We are from all over Asia: Malaysia, Philippines, many different islands in Indonesia, and Japan and waiting one more intern from China. As brothers and sisters of Christ, it did not take long for us to get along well.

☆Local Indonesians Never Stop
We had time to get along with local Indonesian believers. We sang and danced together. I was so surprised to see local people singing praise and dancing ALL THE TIME!! Even during the break and after the dinner, they were worshipping and dancing and having fun, and never stop. I was happy to see their joy in Jesus.

☆Food is Awesome!
Honestly, I was scared of Indonesian food at first time because I heard it is very spicy and I'm not good with those kind of food. However, I love food here so much! Yes, it is spicy, but still Ena'ak!!(delicious!) , especially the banana cake thing and fruit salad were amazing. I thank for all the kitchen staffs!

Our internship is just have started. It seems long, but everyone knows that it's gonna be very very short. I am (and all of us are) looking forward to seeing and experiencing what God will do and how good He is!!
